Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son works with Thanh Hoa police

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, led a delegation on March 16 to work with the Provincial Police Department of Thanh Hoa.

The event also saw the presence of Mr. Mai Xuan Liem, Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, Major General Tran Phu Ha, Director of the provincial police.

Speaking at the working session, Mr. Liem thanked the MPS delegation for paying attention and providing    sufficient equipment and logistical supplies for the provincial police to fight crimes in the province.

He also vowed that he would propose the provincial leadership to provide funds and land for the local police to build headquarters of district and communal police forces. The authorities of Thanh Hoa would direct relevant agencies to soon map out plans to relocate the detention facility under the provincial police.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son discussed the local security and order situation, as well as shared the difficulties and challenges in terms of logistics and finance faced by the provincial police. These included the lack of funding for the building of working places for district and communal police forces.

On the same day, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son and his delegation visited and inquired after the health of leaders, doctors and medical workers as well as patients at the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police Hospital.
