Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son works with police leaders of southwestern provinces

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a meeting with leaders from the provincial police departments in Southwestern region on April 22 on accelerating the settlement of the completed projects and the disbursement of public investment projects in 2021.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, chaired the event.

Representatives from the provincial police departments in the region briefed the delegates on the rates of their disbursement of public investment in the first quarter of 2021.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son highlighted the MPS leaders’ high requirements for the settlement of completed projects and disbursement rates.

He asked leaders of the provincial police departments to do their best to raise the efficiency of managing the State Budget allocated by the ministry, soon settle completed projects.

The provincial police departments in the region should deploy all forces and means to ensure security and order for the upcoming election.

They were also required to take measures to prevent and fight the COVID-19 pandemic, curb illegal border crossings and promptly complete the issuance of chip-based ID cards.
