Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh attends Lunar New Year meeting of public security press agencies

Major General Mai Van Ha, Director of the Department for Information and Communications chaired the event. The event also saw the presence of other leaders of the Department, representatives of the Office of Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and public security press and media agencies.
According to a report of the Department for Information and Communications, the Department directed all public security press and media agencies to reflect the Tet's atmosphere and Tet celebration activities in localities across the country, as well as Tet visits of leaders of the Party, the State and the MPS, before, during and after the Lunar New Year festival 2019.

The public security press and media also covered the Public Security Forces’ task performances in ensuring security and order and traffic safety and other activities. Particularly, good examples and good deeds of public security officers in ensuring security and order before, during and after the Tet were highlighted in public security newspapers and media.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh recognized and hailed the efforts and good outcomes of the public security press and media in successfully covering all major and important events and issues as well as proactively giving up-to-date and accurate information in the past time.

The Deputy Minister then asked the Department for Information and Communications to continue to effectively implement its working plans while directing the public security press and media sector to continuously innovate their forms, methods and contents of articles, reports and programs so as to restlessly improve the effectiveness of their information service. The public security press and media sector should also focus on fighting against wrong political views of hostile forces while widely promoting good examples, good deeds and the sacrifices of public security officers and soldiers for peaceful life and happiness of people.
Besides, the Departments should improve the state management of public security press, media and publishing activities, promote multimedia, and provide further training for reporters to meet requirements of information in the era of industrial revolution 4.0.
On behalf of the Party Committee and leaders of the Department for Information and Communications, Major General Mai Van Ha thanked Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh for his directions and affirmed that all leaders, reporters and workers of the Department would spare no effort to accomplish the political tasks of the unit.
