Deputy Minister Thanh hails the roles of mass organizations of Public Security Forces

PSNews - Deputy Minister Thanh stated that all three unions promoted their roles in educating members and mobilizing collective strength for their work, contributing to enhancing their positions within the Public Security Forces.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security on December 18 had a meeting with the three mass organizations of the Public Security Forces: the Youth Union, the Women’s Union and the Trade Union. The meeting saw the participation of representatives of relevant agencies under the Ministry of Public Security.

In 2018, the Youth Union, the Women's Union and the Trade Union of the Public Security Forces have closely followed their political missions, while attaching their organizations’ operations to professional work of agencies and units. They also actively renovated the contents and methods of their operations to attract a large number of members to emulation movements.

Additionally, all three unions promoted their roles in educating members and mobilizing collective strength for their work, contributing to enhancing their positions within the Public Security Forces.

At the meeting, representatives of the Youth Union, the Women's Union and the Trade Union of the Public Security Forces also briefed General Thanh and delegates on difficulties in implementing their tasks, since the Ministry of Public Security underwent its organizational restructuring following Decree No.01 of the Government. They also proposed various solutions for the issues, and gave ideas to their working plans for the coming time, especially 2019.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh highly appreciated and praised the Youth Union, the Women's Union and the Trade Union of Public Security Forces for successfully fulfilling their political missions over the past time. He also instructed the leadership of these mass organizations to specify working plans and directions for each period of the year and give other units detailed instructions to follow.

They should also review legal documents, regulations on their functions, tasks and realms of authority with the aim of advising relevant agencies of the Ministry of Public Security to form effective working mechanisms assisting the unions’ leadership to run operations of these mass organizations. In addition, the unions should also amend their operational regulations in line with the new organizational structure of the Ministry of Public Security.
