Deputy Minister meets former Vietnamese public security experts in Cambodia

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security hoped that former experts of the Ministry of Public Security will continuously promote the glorious tradition to strengthen the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia.

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the victory in the southwest border protection war and the Vietnam and Cambodia joint victory over the genocidal regime (January 7, 1979 - 2019), the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a meeting with the Liaison Board of former Vietnamese public security experts who used to work in Cambodia, on January 2, in Hanoi.

Over the past time, the Liaison Board of former Vietnamese public security experts in Cambodia has organized many practical and meaningful activities such as: organizing visits to the old battlefields, paying visits to martyrs' families, promoting its role in the campaign "All people protecting national security", compiling history books, to name but a few.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Party Central Committee of Public Security and leaders of MPS, Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam highly appreciated the contributions of former public security experts to liberating the country and people of Cambodia from the genocidal regime, as well as founding and developing the Ministry of Home Affairs of Cambodia.

He hoped that former experts of MPS will continuously promote the glorious tradition to strengthen the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia. 

Additionally, General Nam asked the Liaison Board to further spread their past achievements and victories and share their experiences with youths, particularly public security ones contributing to building strong and elite public security forces with strong political will and immortal patriotism.
