Economic Security Department reviews performance of tasks in the first 6 months

Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and addressed the event. Lieutenant General Nguyen Dinh Thuan, Director of the Department of Economic Security chaired the event.
In the first 6 months of 2021, under the direction of the Party, the State, the Central Party Committee of Public Security and leaders of the MPS, the Department of Economic Security has grasped the situation and advised the Party and State leaders on solutions to solve various complex economic issues, and coordinated with other ministries, agencies, branches to implement plans to successfully protect national economic security.

Notably, the department has advised high level leaders to direct the implementation of Directive No.12-CT/TW on strengthening the Party’s leadership over economic security in the context of socialist-oriented market economy development and international economic integration.
For its excellent achievements, the Department of Economic Security was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister, while 31 received Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Public Security, and141 outstanding organizations and individuals of the department were presented with Certificates of Merit from other ministries and branches.
Speaking at the event, on behalf of the Central Party Committee of Public Security and leadership of the MPS, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang recognized and praised the achievements in performing its tasks gained by the Department of Economic Security in the first half of 2021.
Regarding its key tasks in the last 6 months of 2021, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang asked the department to actively grasp the situation and strengthen coordination and information exchange with other functional units to give higher-level authorities strategic advice on ensuring national security and economic security.
The Deputy Minister also urged the department to closely follow directions of leaders of the Minister of Public Security while focusing on the tasks of analyzing and forecasting the situation, as well as seeking specific solutions to overcome its shortcomings and limitations.
He then asked the Department of Economic Security to strengthen Party building and force building to meet the requirements for its tasks in the new situation.
