Fire fighting and Rescue exhibition to open in Hanoi

Hanoi - On October 3rd, Fire fighting & Rescue police Department - Ministry of Public Security held the award ceremony and fire fighting and rescue exhibition opening (from 3rd to 8th October at Ly Thai To flower garden).

After 6 months launching, the photo competition has received the attention of the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, police forces and the involvement of journalists and reporters, professional photographers across the country. Lieutenant General Le Van De - Deputy General Director of the General Political Department - Ministry of Public Security attended and spoke at the ceremony.

There was 1,251 photos by 145 authors submitted, including 82 paper photos and 1,169 images. Most of the photos reflect truly the work of fire fighting and rescue; which focus on the daily working life of firefighters and officials working within fire fighting and rescue area; fire police forces; example of fire fighting and rescuing cases ...

After 5 rounds, the judges awarded first prize to the photo "Rescuing? Unthinkable! " of Binh Duong fire police; 2 second prizes to authors Vu Quang Ngoc (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi) with the photo "Taking victims out of the collapse at 43 Cua Bac, Hanoi" and photo "Fire fighting and rescue rehearsal" by Le Manh Linh (district 3, Ho Chi Minh City). In addition, the judges awarded 3 third prizes, 9 consolation prizes for other authors.

Speaking at the award ceremony and the exhibition opening, Lieutenant General Le Van De congratulated all the authors. He highly appreciated the organizer team in spreading information and promoting widely the competition to successfully meet the goals and requirements. 

He asserted the competition has important implications to promote and diversify communication activities for fire fighting and rescue. It also improves the responsibility of all firefighter and official working in fire police forces.

After the exhibition, Lieutenant General Le Van De suggested the fire police force to effectively use such meaningful images on  press, media; also build a photobook about firefighting and rescuing for people concerns.
