HCMC Police establishes traffic policewomen escort squad

PSNews – After a month of training, the new traffic policewomen escort squad under the Road-Railway Traffic Police Division of the Ho Chi Minh Municipal Police Department was officially introduced on August 25.

The newly established team has 58 traffic policewomen who are qualified for both skills and physical health.

According to Captain Tran Ly Vinh Hanh, a member of the traffic policewomen escort squad, in the immediate time, the team is assigned to serve the 11th Party Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

In the future, the team will be in charge of patrolling and guide the traffic on Tran Hung Dao road in District 1. They will also participate in convoying and protecting delegations of the Party, the State and international delegations visiting the city.

Senior Colonel Le Hong Nam, Director of the HCMC Police Department affirmed that the establishment of the traffic policewomen escort squad does not only reflect the unique image of the City Traffic Police Force, but also promotes the image of the female police officer.

After the launching ceremony, 58 members of the traffic policewomen escort squad showed off their motorbike driving skills, and their performances were highly appreciated by the HCMC police leadership.
