Hanoi mobilizes 200 mobile police officers for Tet holiday
PSNews - The Hanoi Municipal Police has reinforce 200 mobile police officers to the local traffic police with the aim of controlling traffic during the peak season from January 6th to February 15th (lunar New Year festival).

On January 10th, Senior Colonel Dao Vinh Thang, Head of the Hanoi Municipal Traffic Police informed that 200 mobile police officers had been deployed along with traffic police to ensure traffic safety, minimize congestions, create favorable conditions for people to travel on key local routes and 60 Tet markets during the Tet holiday.
"Function teams will direct and control traffic flows as well as instruct people to follow traffic safety and order regulations. But they will not stop offended vehicles to fine during peak hours, except for serious violations, " stated Mr. Dao Vinh Thang.
The Hanoi Municipal Traffic Police Division also coordinate with the Hanoi Transportation Department and other forces to carefully examine intersections and lanes to readjust unreasonable traffic flows, traffic light cycles, and to reduce the risk of congestion.
The Hanoi Municipal Traffic Police will also work with road and infrastructure investors and other builders to clear up building materials and wastes to facilitate the traffic; and will strictly handle further violations affecting the traffic.
