Hoi An Police establishes 111 Unit to prevent crimes during Tet

PSNews – Under the direction of the Director of Quang Nam Provincial Police Department on mobilizing forces and intensifying measures to ensure security and order during the Lunar New Year festival (Tet) 2019, the Hoi An Municipal Police Sub-Department has established Police Unit 111 led by Senior Colonel Dinh Xuan Nghi, Head of the Hoi An Municipal Police Sub-Department.

Unit 111, consisting of 2 working groups with 36 police officers and soldiers, is in charge of patrolling and ensuring security and order in Hoi An City.
According to Senior Colonel Dinh Xuan Nghi , Hoi An City attracts many foreign tourists. The city also regularly organizes cultural events and festivals so many domestic and international delegations often come here to work and visit.
Therefore, the establishment of Police Unit 111 will certainly contribute positively to preventing crime and law violations, further improving the position and the role of the local police force, and promoting local socio-economic and cultural development.
He also affirmed that the 111 force will abide by the laws and regulations of the Ministry of Public Security; hereby, the unit will maintain close and regular coordination with other patrolling forces to successfully achieve goals, and reduce crime rates and other law offences.
