The two-story building costs 5 million VND, sponsored by KN CAM RANH CO. LTD. The dormitory includes 8 fully-furnished rooms. Two common bathrooms for students and a playground were also built for the pupils.
The project has been completed after 3 months of construction, in spite of bad weather and difficulties in building material transportation.
The workers had worked hard to hand over the accommodations to students early. The new building can accommodate 140 students. Earlier, the students had lived in poor–condition houses made of bamboo.
At an ceremony to hand over the building to the Ethnic Minority Semi-Boarding Junior High School, Senior Colonel Pham Hai Dang, Deputy Director of the Lai Chau Provincial Police Department said, with the new comfortable accommodation, students and teachers at the Ethnic Minority Semi-Boarding Junior High School will hopefully achieve better results of their teaching and learning.
