Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son checks task performance of Lai Chau Police

PSNews - Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on December 9 led a delegation to visit and inspect the task performance of the Lai Chau Provincial Police Department.

At the working session, Senior Colonel Vu A Chia, Deputy Director of the Lai Chau Provincial Police Department, briefed Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son on the unit's task performance in 2019.

Accordingly, under the sound leadership of the Ministry of Public Security and the Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee, the Lai Chau Provincial Police has actively performed their assigned duties in ensuring political security and maintaining local security and order, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.

In comparison to the previous year, the Lai Chau Provincial Police in 2019 have held back all crimes, particularly drug-related crime, law violations and social evils.

The state management over social security has been improved. Traffic accidents were controlled in all three categories of number of cases, number deaths and number of injuries compared with the previous year.

Besides, the provincial police also paid attention to the building "All people protecting National security" movement and force building.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son spoke highly of the Lai Chau Provincial Police's task performance in 2019.

The Deputy Minister asked the Lai Chau’s police force to continue thoroughly grasping the situation, give good advice to Party committees at all level of the province’s localities on measures to maintain local security and order.

He asked the local police to take specific measures to improve the State governance over national security and social order while striving to complete the project to strengthen the communal police force.

The Lai Chau Provincial Police was also urged to strictly handle violations and ensure public order before, during and after the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.
