Long Hoa Prison announces decisions on reduction of sentences

The event saw the presence of Mr. Le Minh Tri, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Supreme People’s Procuracy of Vietnam; Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security; and leaders and representatives of relevant agencies under the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial People’s Procuracy of Long An.
Long Hoa Prison has seriously observed the legal regulations on management and education of prisoners over the past time. Particularly, the review of sentence reduction for prisoners was carried out in an open and transparent way and in accordance with the laws.
Long Hoa Prison announced the decisions to reduce prison sentences for prisoners on the basis of the laws, and the decision by the Chief Justice of the Provincial People's Court of Long An.
After the ceremony, Mr. Le Minh Tri and Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Van Son and other delegates visited two camps of Long Hoa Prison, working places and accommodation of prisoners; and worked with the Superintendent Board and officers of Long Hoa Prison.
