MPS leader hosts New Year meeting with retired public security senior officers in HCMC

On the occasion of the New Year 2021 and the upcoming Lunar New Year of Buffalo (Tân Sửu), General To Lam, Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security, hosted a meeting on January 5 to extend New Year wishes to retired senior officers in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

On the occasion of the New Year 2021 and the upcoming Lunar New Year of Buffalo (Tân Sửu), General To Lam, Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security, hosted a meeting on January 5 to extend New Year wishes to retired senior officers in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

The meeting was attended by former leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and their spouses, as well as revolution veterans, heroes of the People's Armed Forces, and Labor heroes who used to work with the Public Security Forces.

At the event, General To Lam briefed the delegates on the results of the task performance of the forces in 2020, saying that although the domestic and international security situations posed great challenges to the tasks of ensuring national security, social order, and safety.

The Public Security Forces successfully fulfilled their objectives and tasks and obtained important achievements in the year thanks to the sound leadership of the Party and State, the close coordination of the People's Army, other ministries,  agencies and local authorities, and the effective support from the people.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam sent New Year wishes to the retired senior public security officers and their families. 

He also expressed hope that they will further support the Public Security Forces in performing their tasks, as well as contribute to maintaining security and social order in their localities.
