MPS pays tribute to two late leaders of public security schools

On the occasion of the 38th anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2020), Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Assoc. Prof. Dr., Deputy Minister of Public Security (MPS) paid a visit tofamilies of two late leaders of public security schools Pham Tam Long and Pham Van Nghi on November 17.

General Pham Tam Long was a former member of the Party Central Committee, former Permanent Deputy Minister of Public Security, former Rector of People's Security University, and Pham Van Nghi was former Rector of the Central Public Security School (former name of the People's Security Academy).

They are always exemplary teachers in the hearts of generations of public security students. Many of their students have now become generals and high-ranking officials at the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh presented books to Mr. Pham Van Dan, former General Director of the former General Department of Human Resource Development under the MPS, the eldest son of Pham Van Nghi.

On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh visited the two late teachers’ families. During his visits, he said that the Public Security Central Party Committee, leaders of the MPS and generations of officers and soldiers of the People's Public Security have always remembered the great contributions of Teacher Pham Tam Long and Teacher Pham Van Nghi.
