MPS’s Police Investigation Authority offers gifts to poor students in Tra Vinh

The Police Investigation Authority under the Ministry of Public Security in collaboration with the Tra Vinh Provincial Police Department and the Chau Thanh District Police Station presented 150 gifts to poor students with excellent academic records in Chau Thanh district.

On October 16, The Police Investigation Authority under the Ministry of Public Security in collaboration with the Tra Vinh Provincial Police Department and the Chau Thanh District Police Station presented 150 gifts to poor students with excellent academic records in Da Loc A Primary School and Thanh My Secondary School, Chau Thanh district.

The event took place on the osscasion of the 90th anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union.

During the drive, the team offered 150 packages of gifts, worth VND 45 million in total, would serve as a source of encouragement for poor local children to overcome difficulties and study better, as well as contribute to promoting a beautiful image of police officers in the community.

According to local officials, the locality is home to a number of poor households with economic difficulties so many children from these families have to walk some 5km to school every day and do not have enough notebooks and books for their study.
