At the meeting, Major General Duong Ha, Director of the External Security Department under the Ministry of Public Security briefed Minister To Lam on the unit’s task performance in the past time, especially during the Tet holiday.
According to Major General Duong Ha, the department has successfully implemented its specific plan to ensure security during the Tet. The force has also seriously followed COVID-19 prevention regulations set out by the Government and the Ministry of Public Security.
On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Ministry of Public Security's leadership, Minister To Lam acknowledged and praised the working results and achievements made by the External Security Department under the Ministry of Public Security in recent times.
According to Minister To Lam, the unit has joined the common effort of the whole People Public Security Forces in maintaining national security, ensuring social order and safety, contributing to socio-economic development of the country as well as to raising Vietnam's position in the international arena.
He also spoke highly of the force’s responsibility in maintaining a high combat readiness posture and preventing the pandemic.
The Minister of Public Security asked officers and soldiers of the units to overcome difficulties and successfully complete their assigned tasks in the lunar new year, thus contributing to the building of the professional and modernized People's Public Security Forces by 2030.
