PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security on September 22 received Mr. Akif Ayhan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Minister To Lam expressed his delight at positive developments in the relations between two countries, especially after the official visit to Vietnam of the Turkish Prime Minister last August, which has opened up opportunity for cooperation between Vietnam and Turkey.

Minister To Lam noted that the  Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam is now effectively cooperating with Turkish law enforcement agencies. In particular, in 2017, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam signed a cooperation program on criminal prevention with the Turkish side, creating a legal corridor for the two sides to coordinate and handle issues related to crime prevention and combat.

Minister Lam hoped that the Turkish Ambassador during his term of office in Vietnam will continuously make contribution to deepening this cooperation.

The Turkish Ambassador Akif Ayhan thanked Minister Lam for the kind reception and said that he would try his best to contribute to promoting the relationship between Vietnam and Turkey in general, as well as the cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries in particular for more fruitful results.
