Minister To Lam visits and inquires after families of police martyrs

PSNews - Minister of Public Security, General To Lam on July 22 led a public security delegation to visit and present gifts to 2 families of police martyrs in Hanoi.

Minister To Lam and the delegation visited the family of martyr Le Van Sinh, former officer of Company 2 of the Mobile Police Regiment under Hanoi Municipal Police Department, who died while performing his duty on March 4, 2011. At that time, his family faced various difficulties.

The Municipal Police of Hanoi support each of the two children of Sinh with 500,000 VND per month until they are 18, in addition to the assistance from the Ministry of Public Security (MPS).

Minister To Lam also visited family of martyr Nguyen Bac Thao, former police officer of the Hanoi Police Department, who was dispatched to the police agency of Quang Da (now Quang Nam province and Da Nang city) in wartime and fell in action in 1962.

Nguyen Thi Thanh, 83, wife of martyr Thao, was in a poor health condition and faced various difficulties. Under the proposal of the Municipal Police of Hanoi, the MPS built a house of gratitude for the woman in 2018.

Minister To Lam presented gifts to the martyrs’ families, attentively inquired after them and encouraged them to overcome their difficulties in life, maintain and promote the fine tradition of their families.

He also spoke highly of the sacrifice of the martyrs for the cause of protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety, saying that they have set bright examples for the following generations of the Public Security Forces.

Relatives of the two martyrs thanked the MPS and Hanoi police for their good care, and promised to maintain and promote their families’ good traditions.
