Ministry of Public Security promotes prevention of murder due to social conflict

According to the summary report on the results of prevention and fight against murder originating from social conflict in the period of 2014-2019, and discuss approaches to prevent the kind of crime in the coming time.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong emphasized that the Ministry of Public Security has always prioritized preventive measures and set a target of reducing the number of criminal cases  from 3% to 5% per year. 

Therefore, the Ministry of Public Security requests ministries, agencies, and local governments to coordinate with the police forces to prevent all kinds of crime, particularly murder due to social conflict, he said.

The Deputy Minister underlined that it is important for police forces to early detect and resolve social conflict right at an early stage.

Police forces were also recommended to promote law dissemination to raise public awareness of law observance while tightening the management of former convicts or potential offenders in the community.

Additionally, the self-management security models , security self-protection models, and conflict resolving goups should be boosted in localities.
