Ministry of Public Security’s Inspectorate reviews task performance in first half of 2020

PSNews - The Inspectorate of the Ministry of Public Security on July 6 held a meeting to review its task performance in the first half of 2020 and roll out a working plan for the second half.

Major General Tran Duc Tuan, Inspector General of the Ministry of Public Security’s Inspectorate chaired the meeting. 

Major General Tran Duc Tuan hands Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Public Security to a team and an officer with outstanding achievements.

Reports at the event read that, over the past six months, leaders of the Inspectorate have organized regular citizen reception meetings between the Ministry of Public Security's leaders with 43 citizens. 

The Inspectorate has also guided public security units and agencies across the country to receive and handle citizens’ petitions and protect their legitimate rights and interests. Particularly, 97.5% of the total petitions sent by the citizens have been handled.

Speaking at the meeting, Major General Tran Duc Tuan requested the Inspectorate's staff to proactively advise the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security’s leaders to conduct inspections of nationwide public security agencies and units’ task performances while effectively settling complaints and denunciations from the citizens in accordance with the laws. 

They should speed up the development of legal documents related to the inspection and building of a strong inspection force in the Public Security Forces.

The inspection force should also complete the circulars of the Ministry of Public Security on inspection, anti-corruption, citizen reception, and settlement of complaints and denunciations as planned. 

Meanwhile, the Inspectorate should pay due attention to Party and force building work and organizing the 9th Party Congress of the Inspectorate’s Committee in the 2020 – 2025 term in preparation for the 7th Public Security Central Party Congress in the 2020 - 2025 term.
