Ministry of Public Security supports Russian law-enforcement agencies in fighting COVID-19
Under the authority of General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General Truong Van Thong, Director of the Foreign Relations Department under the Ministry of Public Security presented 70.000 face masks to the Russian security and law-enforcement agencies for the pandemic prevention and control on April 21, via the Russian embassy in Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, Lieutenant General Truong Van Thong revealed that, thanks to great efforts of the whole political system and people, the work of COVID-19 prevention and control in Vietnam achieved positive outcomes with no new infection case reported for the last consecutive five days.
Lieutenant General Truong Van Thong emphasized that, as Russia’s comprehensive strategic partner and traditional friend, Vietnam has paid attention to the pandemic situation in Russia.
He believed that Russia, under the leadership of President Vladimir Putin and with the solidarity of the Russian people and its world leading medicine, will soon defeat the COVID-19 pandemic.
With the support of the medical supplies, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam wants to share the difficulties with officers and soldiers of the Russian security and law enforcement forces in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
On behalf of the Russian security and law enforcement agencies, Mr. Konstantin Vnukov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Vietnam thanked the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and General To Lam for the practical support.
He also affirmed that these facemasks will very much help Russian security and police officers and soldiers working on the frontline of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in Russia.
