The People’s Police Academy under the Ministry of Public Security on April 9 held a talk on legal regulations on drugs and the harmful effects of drugs with 1,700 students and teachers of Nguyen Truong To Secondary School.
Lecturers of the Police Faculty on Drug-related Crimes of the People’s Police Academy provided students and teachers with knowledge of addictive drugs and their harmful effects to human health.

Ms. Hoang Thanh Thuy, Headmaster of Nguyen Truong To Secondary School emphasized that the event was of very practical meaning as drugs had entered schools.
According to Ms. Hoang Thanh Thuy, the school often discusses drug topics during its extracurricular lessons. Still, with the presence of uniformed officers of the People's Police Academy, the effectiveness of information and dissemination was raised.
She hoped that each student will become an anti-drugs speaker, helping people around better understand the danger of drugs and join common efforts to say “No drugs” in the community.
Ass. Prof., Dr. Ngo Gia Bac, head of the Police Faculty on Drug-related Crimes of the People’s Police Academy, said that the faculty regularly conducts such an event to disseminate laws on drugs and negative effects of drugs in schools.
In the near future, the staff of the People’s Police Academy will enhance dissemination and information about the harm of addictive drugs in schools to help students identify and avoid drugs, contributing to building a safe and secure school environment across the country.
