Police and military officers saved fishing trawlers and cages

PSNews-Nearly 200 officers managed to save dozens of fishing trawlers and aquaculture cages stuck near Thien Chanh Bridge, Tam Quan Bac commune, Hoai Nhon district, Binh Dinh province.

Due to floods from December 12 to 16, many aquaculture cages and fishing trawlers were swept away to piers of Thien Chanh bridge, obstructing the flow of river water and flooding nearby houses, authorities said.

In response to the situation, the Binh Dinh Provincial Military Command, the Police force of Hoai Nhon district, the Tam Quan Nam Border Station deployed canoes and cranes in cooperation with local self-defense and militia forces salvaged a number of trawlers and aquaculture cages, clearing up the river.

As of December 18, participating forces managed to salvage 3 fishing boats and 30 aquaculture bamboo cages.
