Police discuss measures to ensure absolute traffic safety and order for APEC 2017

PSNews - A delegation of the Traffic Police Department led by its deputy head, Senior Colonel Tran Quoc Trung on May 30 worked with the Da Nang Municipal Public Security Department on measures to ensure absolute traffic safety and order for APEC 2017 events and activities.

Accordingly, during the APEC 2017 Summit Week in Da Nang city, nearly 80 cars, 115 motorcycles and about 500 traffic policemen will participate in motorcades of heads of state, ministers and their spouses.

Meanwhile, additional hundreds of traffic police will be assigned to ensure absolute traffic safety and order in the city during the APEC 2017 Summit Week.

To ensure success in the task performance, the Traffic Police Department has planned to mobilize vehicles and officers from traffic police units under the Ministry Public Security and the local police departments.

Professional training courses for participating officers and soldiers of the Da Nang Municipal Public Security Department will also be organized to improve their skills in handling various situations, according to the Deputy Director of the Traffic Police Department. “All traffic police officers serving APEC events should have a certain level of foreign languages and good manner and conduct. They will also be equipped with synchronous communication facilities.”
