Police officer saves drowning woman

PSNews-Spotting a young woman throwing herself into a river, Junior Lieutenant Nguyen Duy Tuong braved the danger, plunging into the river to save her.

On March 4, Tuong, officer of the Traffic Police Office of Do Luong district Nghe An was on a usual patrol along 15A National Road. He then saw a woman throwing herself from the bridge into the Dao river.
Without hesitation, Tuong plunged himself into the water. He reached her when she was almost drowning. Fortunately, the policeman managed to carry her to the riverbank. He and local people gave her first aid and took her to the clinic nearby. The woman was said to be a local, trying to commit suicide due to her domestic conflicts.
The Do Luong District Police had proposed the People’s Committee of Do Luong district to praise the heroic action of Junior Lieutenant Nguyen Duy Tuong.
