Public Security Newspaper supports needy people in Tan Lac district
A mission of the Public Security Newspaper led by Colonel Vu Manh Ha, Head of the Public Security Newspaper’s online edition in collaboration with representatives of the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank) visited and presented gifts to needy people in Tan Lac district (Hoa Binh province) on January 15, as part of the charitable programme “Tet for needy people 2018”.
Tan Lac is one of the poorest districts of Hoa Binh with 3/4 of mountainous area. Over 98% of Tan Lan's population is the Muong ethnicity. The latest historical landslide buried 18 people and 4 houses in Khanh village, Phu Cuong commune.

Colonel Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Head of the Party Work and Mass Mobilization Division of the Hoa Binh Provincial Police shared that, after receiving the official letter from the Public Security Newspaper about the visit, the unit made a list of 100 needy households in Nam Son, Bac Son, Nguoi Luong and Do Nhan communes.
On behalf of the charitable mission, Colonel Vu Manh Ha presented 100 gifts (total value of VND 50 million) to local people. For those who were unable to join the gift-presenting meeting, the charitable mission came to their houses and handed over gifts to them.
Colonel Vu Manh Ha said that these gifts meant the sentiment and empathy of the Public Security Newspaper, Agribank and all staff of the Public Security Forces for needy people in the locality. He hoped that the locals with the supports would have a warm and happy New Year.
