"Public Security Officer's Images" Art Festival kicks off

The Ministry of Public Security in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Association of Stage Artists on July 16 kicked off the 4th National Theater and Performing Arts Festival themed "Public Security Officer's Images".

General To Lam, Minister of Public Security attended the opening ceremony. Additionally, the event also saw the participation of leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and representatives of other ministries, branches and units.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh presenting certificates of merit to representatives of art teams. 

At the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, representative of the organizing board delivered the opening speech. He stated that the 4th National Theater and Performing Arts Festival themed "Public Security Officer's Images" is part of activities to mark 75 years of August Revolution and National Day 2/9, 75 years of the People’s Public Security Forces’ Traditional Day, 72 years of President Ho Chi Minh's Call for Patriotic Emulation and 15 years of the “All people protect national security” Festive Day.

This - year festival gathered 27 art troupes.  33 art performances of various kinds will be shown on stage during the festival from July 16 to August 2.

In particular, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh emphasized, the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the ministry always attached important to the role of culture and arts in the work of building forces within the public security forces.

The new feature of this festival is that most art performances focus on depicting the beautiful image of public security officers. Meanwhile, several stage plays feature the fight against corruption and extremely serious criminal cases.

As reported, this - year festival gathered 27 art troupes.  33 art performances of various kinds will be shown on stage during the festival from July 16 to August 2.
