Public Security Publishing House hailed as bright spot in introducing political theory books to the public

PSNews – The Public Security Publishing House on September 24 reported on a working mission of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Education and Information its 15-year implementation of Directive 20-CT/TW of the Party Secretariat of the 9th term on improving the quality and efficiency of the publication of theoretical political books.

The Public Security Publishing House under the Department for Information and Communications of the Ministry of Public Security on September 24 reported on a working mission of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Education and Information its 15-year implementation of Directive 20-CT/TW of the Party Secretariat of the 9th term on improving the quality and efficiency of the publication of theoretical political books.

The working mission of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information and Education was led by Mr. Nguyen Viet Thao, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

The event also saw the participation of leaders of the Public Security Publishing House and units under the Department for Information and Communications.

During the meeting, Senior Colonel Ma Duy Quan, Director of the Public Security Publishing House briefed the delegates on the Public Security Publishing House’s 15-year implementation of Directive 20-CT/TW of the Party Secretariat tenure IX on improving the quality and efficiency of publishing theoretical political books in the Public Security Forces. He emphasized that the publication of this kind of books was well performed by the publishing house with positive results.

According to Senior Colonel Ma Duy Quan, a large number of theoretical political books and other documents have been printed and published over the past 15 years, meeting the need of theories for practical ideological and political work in the Public Security Forces. Particularly, the publishing house paid special attention to publishing books and documents on politics, laws and arguments against the “peaceful evolution” strategy of hostile forces.

As the public security printing and publishing sector has continuously invested in machinery, technology and designs of books over the past years, it has been a reliable address for writers, critics and scientists inside and outside the Public Security Forces. By publishing and releasing high-quality political books, the sector has contributed to improving ideological, political and legal knowledge for public security officers, soldiers and workers as well as to protecting national security, ensuring public order and safety, and enhancing the movement “All people protecting national security.”

Speaking at the event, on behalf of the working mission of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information and Education, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thao praised the Public Security Publishing House and the Department for Information and Communications of the Ministry of Public Security for their achievements in implementing Directive 20-CT/TW.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Thao suggested the Public Security Publishing House strengthen the publication and distribution of political theoretical books, further promote the application of modern technology to its publishing work, and to publish more e-books to easily reach more readers.
