Senior Colonel Nguyen Tien Nam, Director of the Quang Binh Provincial Police Department, led a delegation of the provincial police to arrive in Vinh Quang village (Son Thuy commune) home to 180 households with 720 residents isolated by the flood.

The delegation encountered and overcame various difficulties on the way to the isolated village to deliver the relief goods, including instant noodles and drinking water, to the victims of flooding.

According to Senior Colonel Nguyen Tien Nam, all police officers and soldiers of the provincial police have been deployed to help local people overcome the aftermath of the dangerous weather condition.

In Thua Thien Hue province, police stations in many districts have taken measures to respond to the complicated weather situation.

Torrential rains prolonged for days flooding communes in low-lying areas of Phong Dien district. Local people could not travel out of the flooded area as many major roads were deep under water. The police station of Phong Dien coordinated with the local authorities and functional forces to actively implement flood response plans, tried their best to minimize damages caused by floods while seeking to protect the people's lives and property.

Major Nguyen Quang Hai, Vice Head of the police station of Phong Dien, said 14 out of 16 communes of the district had been flooded, and many households were isolated.
