Security industry asked to enhance research and application of technology

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security (MPS) on July 1st, worked with the Department of Security Industry (SID) and the Institute of Science and Technology (IST) under the Ministry of Public Security.
At the meeting, representatives of the SID and IST briefed the deputy minister and delegates on results of their task performances in the first 6 months of 2021, saying that the two units strictly followed the policies and guidelines of the Party and the MPS in development of security industry, scientific research and application of technology while enhancing research, development and production of security products and raising its revenue and State capital.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son acknowledged and praised the results and efforts of the two units over the past time.
In order to complete their assignments in the coming time, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son asked the two units to focus on Party building, force building, and support policy for its officers, soldiers and civilian employees. They should also continue improving the efficiency of leadership and building on professional working styles.
In addition, the two units should actively coordinate closely with the relevant public security units to research, develop and manufacture more technical equipment and means for the operations of the Public Security Forces.
