Soc Trang provincial police holds Party congress

The Party Committee of the Soc Trang Provincial Police Department on July 14 held its 7th Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

The event saw the presence of Major General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security.

At the event, delegates discussed and contributed their opinions to the draft political report as well as targets and tasks set for the term 2020-2025. Regarding major missions in the new term, the Party Committee of the Soc Trang Provincial Police determines to prevent the formation of any political opposition organizations, demonstrations and riots. It will also do its utmost to deny any sabotage acts, terror activities and negative political situations in the province.

The newly-elected Party Committee is also committed to resolutely fighting organized crime, criminal gangs, eliminating social evil hotspots, effectively handling law violations, and successfully investigating at least 80% of all criminal cases of which 95% of the serious cases is solved.

The Soc Trang provincial police  Party Committee also aims at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the state management of security, reducing traffic accidents, effectively preventing and fighting fires and explosions, and actively supporting people in natural disasters and epidemics.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung applauded the determination and efforts of the provincial police Party organization in implementing the targets and tasks set at the 6th Party Congress.

The Deputy Minister asked the Party organization to attach special importance to Party and force building, and promote political, ideological and ethic education for all Party members while actively preventing manifestations of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” among cadres and Party members, and resolutely fighting distorted information and wrong views hostile to the Party and State.
