Southwest Mobile Police Regiment runs meaningful activities in Con Dao

The 100-member delegation of the Southwest Mobile Police Regiment led by Colonel Nguyen Tan Phuc, Commander of the regiment visited, laid flowery wreaths and offered incense to heroic martyrs and patriots resting in Con Dao and at Hang Duong Cemetery.
The delegation also visited and presented gifts to local Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded soldiers, beneficiary families, revolutionary families and poor students with excellent academic records.
Besides, youths of the unit also repaired and upgraded local martyrs' cemeteries and public security historical and cultural sites, and held several cultural exchanges and sport activities with the police force and the border guards of Con Dao district.
The roots-returning trip of the Southwest Mobile Police Regiment aimed to promote the spirit of voluntarism, vanguardism and creativity of young police officers in social activities. It also educated and improved the morality and political stance of the police soldiers in line with Uncle Ho's Six Teachings.
The Southwest Mobile Regiment was established on June 8th 2001under the Mobile Police High Command (Ministry of Public Security). Over the past 16 years of construction and development, the Regiment has constantly grown in all aspects, contributing to ensuring the security and order of Southwest provinces. The Regiment participated in many special and important criminal cases, particularly the Truong Van Cam case; as well as in rescuing and supporting people to overcome the consequences of Storm No.9 in Ben Tre. For their outstanding achievements, many organizations and individuals of the Regiment have received noble awards from the Party, State, Ministry of Public Security and local authority. The Regiment also received the title of Excellent Unit and Emulation Flags from the Ministry of Public Security in many consecutive years. |
