Over the past days, police officers and soldiers of the Tan Son Nhat Border Gate Police Station under the Immigration Management Department have tried their best to ensure safety for passengers and people, contributing to preventing COVID-19 from spreading.

At the Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Tra, Head of the Police Team of the Tan Son Nhat International Airport said that, according to regulations, all passengers entering Vietnam must declare their health status in paper or electronic form before completing immigration procedures.

In the immigration areas, the border gate police officers will check whether passengers’ passports are sealed by the International Health Quarantine Center. Passengers whose passports are not sealed will be requested to complete quarantine procedures.

Over the past time, the border gate police in coordination with relevant agencies and the International Health Quarantine Center at the airport have strictly controlled the entry into and exit from the country as well as monitored all flights coming from COVID-19 hit areas to bolster medical screening.

Additionally, they have also coordinated with the airlines to detect and quarantine passengers with symptoms of COVID-19.

Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and the Immigration Management Department have also requested all the public security agencies and units to strictly check passengers coming from the epidemic areas.

Particularly, the border gate police force at Tan Son Nhat International Airport proactively informed all public security police officers and soldiers of measures to prevent COVID-19 from spreading and provided them with sufficient equipment to prevent and control the disease.
