PSNews - The Tan Son Nhat Border Gate Police Station under the Immigration Department recently held a blood donation program with the participation of its police officer and soldiers.

The program was held in response to General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong’s call for the “National Voluntary Blood Donation Day” and the letter from General To Lam, Minister of Public Security urging the People's Public Security Forces to actively participate in voluntary blood donation.

According to Senior Colonel Le Thanh Hung, Head of the Tan Son Nhat Border Gate Police Station, the unit has collaborated with Military Hospital 175 to organize the blood donation program while ensuring all regulations to prevent COVID-19.

The program gathered 150 police officers and soldiers. The blood donated at the event contributed to meeting the blood demand of people in need, said Senior Colonel Le Thanh Hung.

All of the donated blood was then sent to the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion for treatment of patients.
