According to Senior Colonel PhanThanh Quan, Director of the Tra Vinh Provincial Police Department, the police units at all levels will further mobilize local people to abide by the regulations; hold training courses for police officers on the management of weapons, explosives and combat gears; and call on people to surrender illegally stored weapons, explosives, and combat gears.
The local police also conduct inspections at agencies, organizations and enterprises for their management and use of weapons, explosives and combat gears in order to find out the solutions to issues.
The Tra Vinh police also in collaboration with the local People’s Procuracys and the People’s Court take cases of violating the legal regulations to trial as social instances. The police division in local districts, towns and cities should advise the local People’s Committees to implement the campaign in an effective way.
