Vietnam, Laos intensify research activity

PSNews - The two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the coordination programme in 2018.

The Institute of Strategy and Science under the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam had a meeting with a delegation of the Department of Scientific Research and History under the Lao Ministry of Security on August 11, in Hanoi.

The working visit of the Department of Scientific Research and History of the Lao Ministry of Security took place on the occasion of the 55th founding anniversary of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic ties and the 40th anniversảy of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty on Amity and Cooperation.

At the working session, Lieutenant General Tran Minh Thu, Director of the Public Security Institute of Strategy and Science  stated that, the strategic, theoretical and scientific research activities are important to the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam.

Over the past years, the two sides have cooperated closely with each other in conducting strategic and theoretical research and information management, and achieved initial results. For better outcomes in the future, the Public Security Institute of Strategy and Science and the Department of Scientific Research and History should expand cooperation.

For his part, Director of the Department of Scientific Research and History highly appreciated all achievements of the Public Security Institute of Strategy over the past.

He also hoped that, in the coming time, the two sides will continuously exchange experiences in strategic research methods, information management, scientific research, theoretical research, as well as co-organize scientific seminars with the aim of improving effectiveness in ensuring social order and security of each country.

At the end of the working session, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the coordination programme in 2018.
