Vietnam, RoK promote press cooperation

PSNews - Major General Pham Van Mien affirmed that over the past 25 years, cooperation ties between Vietnam and RoK have been developing in various fields, including exchange of the press and media of the two sides. 

A delegation of the Vietnam Journalists Association (VJA) led by Major General Pham Van Mien - Member of the Standing Committee of the VJA - Editor in Chief of the Public Security Newspaper paid a working visit to the Republic of Korea (RoK) from April 15-22.

This working visit fell within the framework of the annual exchange mechanism with the aim of promoting press ties between the two sides, contributing to strengthening the friendly relationship between Vietnam and RoK.

Major General Pham Van Mien affirmed that over the past 25 years, cooperation ties between Vietnam and RoK have been developing in various fields, including exchange of the press and media of the two sides.

He also highly appreciated efforts and positive outcomes of the RoK Journalists’ Association; hoped that media agencies of RoK will continuously exchange visits with Vietnamese partners in the time ahead.

The Vietnamese delegation also visited the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games area, in Gangneung city, Gangwon province.

Being impressed by the investment and the determination of the authority, as well as the people of Gangneung city, the Vietnamese delegation extended congratulations to the 2018 Olympic Games host city and people and strongly believed that the event will be a success.

Authorities and press agencies of RoK hoped to welcome Vietnamese journalists in Pyeongchang in 2018.
