Vietnam and RoK promote cooperation in guard force
PSNews – Deputy Minister of Public Security Bui Van Nam and Mr. Ju Young Hoon, Director of Security Agency for Presidential Palace of the Republic of Korea (RoK) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation in guard force between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the RoK Agency on November 11.
Deputy Minister Nam welcomed Mr. Ju Young Hoon on his visit to Da Nang on the occasion of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week. The Deputy Minister stressed that the cooperation between the security forces of Vietnam and RoK demonstrated their mutual trust. As the two countries' security forces have made much renovation and progress in the bilateral cooperation in recent times, their coordination have become closer.
Deputy Minister Nam said that after the signing of the MOU, the two sides will enhance mutual support of both human and material resources during visits of the two nations’ leaders. The two sides will continue exchange delegations and facilitate each other’s participation in training courses on formulating and organizing the implementation of guard programs, plans and strategies, and boost exchange of security intelligence on anti-terrorism and other areas of cooperation.
The guest thanked the host for the kind reception. Mr. Ju Young Hoon also informed that the leaders of the two countries at the bilateral meeting earlier this morning discussed areas of cooperation, particular security cooperation between the two countries’ functional agencies.
Mr. Ju Young Hoon affirmed that the signing reflected the fine developments in security cooperation between the two countries, and expressed his hope that the sound relations between the MPS of Vietnam and the Security Agency of Presidential Palace of Korea will be further strengthened in the future.
