Vietnam’s fire police learn Hungary’s firefighting technologies

PSNews – The Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam on November 13 held a workshop to introduce Hungary’s new firefighting and rescue technologies.

The workshop was an opportunity for the Vietnamese fire police to learn more about the new model and force structure of the Hungarian fire police as well as about advanced technologies in fire fighting equipment from Hungary and European countries.

Speaking at the event, Major General Doan Viet Manh, Director of the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department highly valued the cooperation between the firefighting and rescue forces of the two countries, saying that the Hungarian side has implemented a number of projects in support of Vietnam’s fire police force.

According to Major General Doan Viet Manh, the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department will discuss with the Ministry of the Interior’s National Disaster Management of Hungary to soon sign a memorandum of understanding on fire prevention and fighting.

After the workshop, the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department would collaborate with the Ministry of the Interior’s National Disaster Management of Hungary to organize other activities to improve professional capacity of the Vietnamese fire fighting force.

The two sides also agreed to soon map out orientations and overall strategies on accessing and applying modern fire prevention and fighting technologies of Hungary and Europe in Vietnam, contributing to minimizing the number of fire incidents as well as losses caused by fire and explosion, thus ensuring social order and safety of the people.
