Vietnamese MPS presents medical stuff for Covid-19 prevention and control to Lao partner

Under the authority of Public Security Minister General To Lam, Director of the Foreign Relations Department, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Son leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on May 12presented medical equipment for COVIDd-19 epidemic prevention and control to the MPS of Laos at the Cau Treo international border gate in Ha Tinh province.

At the handover ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Son conveyed the letter of greetings from Minister To Lam to leaders, officers and soldiers of the Lao MPS and showed his sympathy for the Lao people amidst the complicated COVID-19 pandemic.

On behalf of the Vietnamese MPS, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son believed that under the sound leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Lao Government as well as the relentless efforts of all the Lao Public Security Forces, and people, the pandemic will soon be controlled and normal life will be restored in the country.

According to Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Son, the Vietnamese MPS supported the Lao People's Public Security Forces with 30 hand-held thermometers, 30,000 sterile face masks, 2,000 N95 facemasks, and 300 sets of anti-pandemic clothing and 300 liters of hand sanitizer solution.

Director of the International Relations Department under the Lao MPS Ki Chanhthavongsa expressed sincere gratitude to the Party, State, People, and People's Public Security Forces of Vietnam for the valuable assistance to Laos in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. Ki Chanhthavongsa affirmed that the Lao MPS is coordinating closely with other functional forces of Laos to prevent and control the pandemic, bringing peaceful life to the people and contributing to maintaining national security, social order and safety, and socio-economic development in the country.
