Vietnamese Minister of Public Security visits Sri Lanka

PSNews – A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, led by Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo’s Member and Minister of Public Security on October 3 arrived in Sri Lanka for an official visit.

The visit, made at the invitation of Minister of Law and Order & Southern Development of Sri Lanka Sagala Gajendra Ratnayaka, aims to contribute to bolstering traditional friendly relations between the two countries.

Shortly after the arrival in Colombo, the Capital City of Sri Lanka, Minister To Lam had talks with the Minister Sagala Gajendra Ratnayaka. The two sides focused discussion on potentials and measures to promote cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Law and Order & Southern Development of Sri Lanka on security in the coming time.

The two ministers agreed on measures to further strengthen cooperation in prevention and fight against crimes, particularly transnational crimes, new crimes, drugs related crimes, terrorism, hi-tech crimes, economic crimes and money laundering.

In conclusion, Mr. Sagala Gajendra Ratnayaka highly valued the visit to the country of Minister To Lam and the delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and expressed his belief that the visit will contribute to strengthening traditional relations between the two countries in general and between Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and Ministry Minister of Law and Order & Southern Development in particular.

For his part, Minister To Lam extended sincere thanks to Minister Sagala Gajendra Ratnayaka and the delegation of the Ministry of Law and Order & Southern Developmentfor their warm and sincere reception.
