PSNews – Bkav Corporation has just announced that over 560,000 computers in Vietnam have been spied on by BrowserSpy spyware.

The Bkav virus monitoring system has recently discovered malware BrowserSpy, according to the corporation’s announcement on July 26.

More than half million computers in Vietnam infected with BrowserSpy.

According to Bkav, over 560,000 computers in Vietnam have been infected with BrowserSpy, and the number continues to grow. This malicious code has the ability to track users, steal personal data, bank accounts, Gmail passwords, Facebook and so on.

According to Bkav's experts, it is very hard to detect computers infected with BrowserSpy as the spyware has no special symptoms. Bkav recommends users to immediately get rid of the virus and change the passwords for their social accounts.

Earlier, the Vietnam Computer Emergency Response Team (VNCERT) on July 23 has issued an alert on malware targeting financial institutions and national major infrastructure organizations.

VNCERT accordingly stressed the need to urgently carry out the task of tracking, blocking and deleting malicious files aimed at stealing important information from banks and IT infrastructure in the country.
