Department of Party and Political Work rolls out its 2024 work plan

Deputy Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To attended a conference held by the Department of Party and Political Work to summarize the sector’s work in 2023 and roll out its work plan for 2024, on the afternoon of January 4, 2024, in Hanoi.

In 2023, the Party Committee and leaders of the Department of Party and Political Work maintained strong unity, and well performed its function of advising the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security on political work and mass mobilization in the People's Public Security Forces as well as all assigned work targets.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To suggested that the Department of Party and Political Work should thoroughly study and effectively implement policies of Party and State leaders, and instructions of the Minister of Public Security given at the 2023 Party Work Conference and the 79th National Public Security Conference, and the Resolution of the Public Security Central Party Committee on protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, and building the People's Public Security Forces.

The department should pay attention to cultural activities, arts, physical education, sports, internal regulations and mass organizations as well as renovating emulation and commendation work at local-level police units, and strengthening staff management, tightening discipline in couple with regularly providing political ideological education for officers and soldiers.
