General Le Quy Vuong becomes Chairman of Vietnam Public Security Veterans’ Association

PSNews - Prime Minister Comrade Pham Minh Chinh attended the First National Public Security Veteran Congress to establish the Vietnam Public Security Veterans’ Association and elected the Central Executive Committee for the 2023-2028 term, on August 17, in Hanoi.

At the meeting, delegates discussed and approved the draft charter of the association, operational regulations, elected the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Public Security Veterans' Association for the term of 2023 - 2028 with 89 members, the Standing Board with 21 members and the Inspection Committee.

Speaking at the congress, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that public security veterans are those who have had experienced numerous working positions in the Public Security Forces and trained and worked through the national resistance wars so they all have good qualities and virtues.

Some of them have much working experience in protecting national security and ensuring social order and safety.

In short, public security veterans have made great contributions to the cause of national liberation in the past as well as current national construction and defense.

They are a very important part of society, and serve as a solid spiritual support, a noble and typical example for current public security officers and soldiers and today's young generation to study and follow.

With their high working profiles, public security veterans can also make a large contribution to the building of the People’s Public Security Forces and the cause of safeguarding national security and maintaining social order and safety.

For his part, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General To Lam expressed gratitude to the Party, State and Government for their great orientations for the building of the Public Security Forces as well as for the support for the establishment of the Vietnam Public Security Veterans’ Association.

Making the closing speech, on behalf of all members of the Vietnam Public Security Veterans’ Association, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong sincerely thanked the Party, State, Government and Ministry of Public Security for their instructions on the establishment of the association.

He hoped that the association will receive more support and good directions from competent authorities so that the Vietnam Public Security Veterans’ Association can operate effectively and develop in the future.
