The Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security held a conference on July 5, 2023, in Hanoi to review the results of the criminal force’s work in the first half of 2023, with the presence of Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc.

The conference also saw the participation of leaders of the Criminal Police Offices of the 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

The report at the conference read, in the first 6 months of 2023, the Criminal Police Department directed the force to seriously implement work plans and instructions of the leaders of the Ministry on the fight against crime of all kinds.

The rate of cleared criminal cases was high, contributing to ensuring social order and safety and serving the country's socio-economic development.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc suggested that the Criminal Police Department promote its leadership, regularly inspect and guide the force to analyze and evaluate the criminal situation so as to promptly advise leaders of police units at all levels to address complicated cases arising related to social order and security.

Leaders of the department should lead the force to take both professional measures and social preventive measures, as well as give specific assignments to the four-level police units so as to prevent and handle criminal offences right at the grassroots levels.
