Toyota Vietnam enjoys slight sales growth in Q1 of 2017
PSNews- Toyota Vietnam has sold 13,842 vehicles (including its luxury brand of Lexus), an increase of 10% in the first quarter of 2017 compared to the same period last year.
If excluding the Lexus model, total sales of the remaining Toyota models in the first quarter reached 13,576, a rise of 13% compared to the same period last year. In particular, sales of the passenger car segment reached 2,410 vehicles, a 10% increase while 2,269 commercial vehicles were sold, up by 15%.
In the segment of passenger car, Vios continued enjoying the best seller among all Toyota vehicles in Vietnam with 4,152 ones sold in the first three months of this year, up by 21% compared to the same period last year. Corolla followed with 1,012 cars sold and Camry sales ranked third with 856 units.
Meanwhile, Innova continued taking the lead in the multi-purpose segment in Vietnam with total sales of 3,193 vehicles in the first quarter of 2017, a 17% increase against the same period in 2016.
Of the vehicles imported and distributed by Toyota Vietnam, Fortuner marked another step forward while 3,122 Fortuners were sold in the first three months alone, up by 32% year on year.
Other imported vehicles in good sales included Yaris with 620 units, Hilux with 362, Land Prado with 107, Land Cruiser with 102 and Hiace with 50 vehicles in the first quarter of this year.
