Dear all Vietnamese people, comrades and troops nationwide! On the occasion of the International Blood Donation Day, I would like to express my best regards and wishes to all groups and individuals who have made contributions to the voluntary blood donation movement.
Blood donation is a deeply noble deed with humanitarian significance, and should also be considered everyone’s sacred duty and responsibility.
Over the past time, various voluntary blood donation movements have been organized nationwide and have received great care from leadership at all levels with specific and practical programs, including the “Le hoi Xuan Hong” (The Red Festival) and “Hanh trinh Do” (The Red Journey).
An increasing number of new and effective models have emerged from campaigns of blood donation in various localities, say “Blood Donation Day”, “Blood Donation Street”, “Each commune and ward is a blood donation point”. Such movements have contributed to saving many people in need, and this has beautified the national tradition “Love others as oneself”.
I was deeply moved and I appreciate and very much praise all blood donors, particularly those who have donated blood many times, have acted as blood reserves for emergencies and have encouraged others to join them in blood donation drives.
They have contributed significantly to the cause of people’s health protection, care and improvement.
On this occasion, I would like to ask Party committees, authorities, agencies and organizations to continue directing and promoting voluntary blood donation movements and call on all people, comrades and troops nationwide to actively participate in blood donation for the sake of a healthy and humane society.
