Department of Organization and Personnel reviews task performance

Minister To Lam presents Certificates of Merits to various officers with outstanding achievements.

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security attended and delivered the keynote speech at the event.

Over the last few months, the department well performed its tasks, effectively advised the leaders of the MPS on various important issues related to organization and personnel affairs, and effectively supported regular and unexpected missions of the leaders of the MPS.

Speaking at the event, Minister To Lam highlighted that the Department of Organization and Personnel should actively coordinate with relevant public security agencies and units to work on and issue official documents on functions, tasks, authorities and organizational structure of the newly-established public security agencies and units as well as on the posting officers in an appropriate and scientific manner with the aim of strengthening capabilities of grassroots-level and combat units.

Minister Lam also asked the department to draw up projects to restructure the corps of public security officers as well as to improve the quality and standards of the officers of each force and each level by opening more training and refresher courses for officers. 

The department was also asked to promote the management and supervision of officers, especially key position holders with the aim of preventing them from breaching working procedures and regulations while stepping up checks and inspections  and strict handling wrongdoings of officers and soldiers.
