Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc inspects progress of projects on e-ID card in Dong Nai

At the meeting, Senior Colonel Le Quang Nhan, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Provincial Police Department briefed the deputy minister and delegates on the results of the implementation of the two projects over the past time.

He stated that the provincial police have so far collected full information about over 2.9 million permanent residents out of 3.3 million of the provincial population. That means about 97.2% of the population data project has been completed.
Meanwhile, the total number of citizens from the age of 14 in the province is more than 2.6 million. The provincial police are making necessary preparations for issuing e-ID cards for local people.
Currently, the Dong Nai police have been equipped with 24 sets of machinery to issue e-ID cards. Leaders of the provincial police have selected qualified and well-trained officers and will assign them to work in three shifts a day (15 hours/day) to serve the local people.

Speaking at meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc praised the efforts and initial results of Dong Nai police in effectively implementing the two projects.
The deputy minister asked the leaders of the Dong Nai police to focus on directing the local police forces to implement their assigned tasks in line with the MPS’s plan. The provincial police should issue more than 1.5 million e-ID cards to citizens in Dong Nai by July 1, 2021.
He also requested leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to further support and create favorable conditions for the provincial police force to successfully complete their assigned tasks.
